About Me

Hi, I’m Olivia Lockett—a recent graduate of Flagler College with a degree in Strategic Communication and Public Relations and a minor in Anthropology. I’m a storyteller at heart, passionate about using media to create impact and uplift voices that deserve to be heard.

My journey has taken me from hospital press rooms in Baltimore to the savannas of South Africa. As a Pulitzer Center Reporting Fellow, I embedded with the Black Mambas—the world’s first all-women anti-poaching unit—and reported on the Bush Babies Environmental Education Program. I documented their work through interviews, photography, and video, creating multimedia stories about conservation, community, and women’s leadership.

Before that, I worked in media relations at MedStar Health, where I pitched stories, wrote press releases, and helped secure local news coverage. I’ve also worked remotely with The Bo-Hawg, using humor and storytelling to connect niche audiences with bold branding.

I care deeply about sustainability and cross-cultural connection. I’m drawn to projects that sit at the intersection of communication and meaningful change. I’m always looking for new opportunities to collaborate, explore, and make an impact through strategic, human-centered storytelling.

Off the clock, I’m usually spending time with shelter dogs, enjoying nature, or plotting my next spontaneous weekend trip.
